A frothy personality at Urban Growler

Dogs of the Zone

"We jokingly refer to Frankie as our director of human resources," says Jill Pavlak of Urban Growler Brewing Company. "She hangs out in our office, and our team loves her to pieces."

Frankie is a lively Chiweenie (Chihuahua–mini Dachshund mix), adopted two years ago by Jill and partner Deb Loch. They're co-owners of the brewery on Endicott Street, a key social hub for the CEZ with many events, like a Farmers Market every summer Sunday afternoon. In Frankie's honor, take a Paint Your Own Pet class August 14.

Thanks to the UG's community spirit, the Midway Chamber of Commerce named it Small Business of the Year for 2019. The Growler's new #raiseaglass campaign honors people working for inclusivity and empowerment in the Twin Cities. Seems like that goes for Jill and Deb, too. So let's toast a team that's unstoppable— even when Frankie needs a nap.
